Known as the Spring Skiing Capital®, the resort comes alive this time of year with a packed calendar of events ranging from high-energy competitions and charitable fundraisers to live music, après celebrations, and iconic Tahoe traditions.
Spring Events Lineup
- Date: March 21, 2026 (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
- Details: The Pain McShlonkey Classic is one of the most beloved and irreverent events of the season, honoring the legacy of Shane McConkey. Participants dress in outrageous costumes, grab their snowblades, and take part in the iconic Hot Dog Downhill, followed by awards and a massive raffle. The event brings together the ski community for a day of laughter and camaraderie while raising funds for the Shane McConkey Foundation, which supports environmental and humanitarian causes. Registration is required, with options for virtual participation for fans around the world.

- Date: March 21, 2026 (8:30 AM – 5:30 PM)
- Details: The Ski for MS Vertical Challenge invites participants to ski and ride as many vertical feet as possible in support of the MS community. Hosted by Olympic gold medalist Jonny Moseley, the event combines on-mountain challenges with fundraising opportunities and community connection. Participants can rally friends, track their vertical, and compete for prizes before heading to an après celebration to close out the day. It’s a meaningful way to turn a day on the slopes into real impact.

- Details: Alpenglow Après transforms The Chalet into a vibrant sunset gathering that captures the magic of spring in the mountains. Guests can enjoy a lively on-snow beer garden atmosphere with a live DJ, fire pits, and sweeping views as the sun sets behind the peaks. The experience includes raclette cheese, pretzel bites, schnitzel, and other Chalet-inspired dishes, all designed to complement the alpine setting. It’s the perfect way to transition from a day on the slopes into an unforgettable evening.

- Details: The Mothership Classic is a high-energy, first-to-last chair fundraiser that takes over KT-22, one of the most iconic lifts in North America. Participants challenge themselves to lap the chair as many times as possible in a single day, often dressed in retro gear or creative costumes. The event supports the High Fives Foundation, raising funds for athletes recovering from life-changing injuries. With categories like most laps and best costume, the event blends endurance, community, and classic springtime fun.

- Details: Now in its 40th year, the Alpine Snow Golf Tournament is a uniquely Tahoe event that combines skiing and golf into one unforgettable experience. Participants make their way down a top-to-bottom, ten-hole snow course, skiing or riding between shots. Costumes are encouraged, and the day wraps up with a Caddyshack-themed après party at The Chalet. Equal parts competition and comedy, it’s a spring tradition that continues to draw both locals and visitors.

Toyota U.S. Mogul Freestyle Championships
- Dates: March 26–29, 2026
- Details: The Toyota U.S. Mogul Freestyle Championships bring elite-level competition to Palisades Tahoe, showcasing some of the best mogul skiers in the country. Athletes will compete in qualifying rounds, finals, and dual mogul formats across multiple days. Spectators can watch the action unfold on Siberia Bowl, offering a front-row seat to high-speed, technical skiing.
- Date: March 28, 2026
- Details: Love Your Peaks is a community-driven event hosted by Boarding for Breast Cancer, focused on awareness, prevention, and survivorship. The day includes a Pink Poker Run, tribute ride, raffles, and fundraising opportunities that support breast cancer education programs. Participants are encouraged to wear pink and get involved in a variety of on-mountain activities. It’s a powerful blend of fun, community, and purpose set against the backdrop of Alpine.

Amie Engerbretson Signature Camp
- Dates: April 2–3, 2026 (limited space available)
- Details: The Amie Engerbretson Signature Camp offers a premium, all-women’s ski experience designed for advanced intermediate and expert skiers. Participants will receive personalized coaching focused on skill progression, confidence-building, and exploring more advanced terrain. The camp also includes wellness elements like yoga and social gatherings, creating a well-rounded experience both on and off the mountain. It’s an opportunity to learn from one of the sport’s most respected athletes in a supportive environment.
- Date: April 12
- Details: The Billy Dutton Uphill is a unique, human-powered race featuring a challenging 2,000-foot climb over a 3.2-mile course from the base of KT-22 to High Camp, where participants can skin, ski, run, snowshoe, or hike their way to the top. The race begins at 8:00 AM on Sunday, April 12, with registration available in advance or on race day at the KT-22 base area. Proceeds from the event benefit the Far West Nordic Juniors, supporting youth skiing programs in the region.

- Date: April 4 & 11, 2026 (12:30 PM – 6:00 PM)
- Details: The Spring Tracks Concert series brings high-energy après vibes to the KT Deck with two afternoons of free live music during peak spring conditions. Guests can spend the morning skiing before heading to the base for live performances from a lineup of well-known DJs.
On April 4, Marc Montoya opens before Flosstradamus headlines. On April 11, Valentino Khan takes the stage from 4:30–6:00 PM at the KT Base Bar.
- Date: April 5, 2026 (1:00 PM – 4:00 PM) – Subject to change based on weather and mountain conditions
- Details: Cushing Crossing is one of the most iconic spring events in Tahoe, where participants attempt to skim across icy waters in creative costumes. The event draws large crowds, with spectators gathering to watch both impressive runs and unforgettable wipeouts. Celebrity judges and lively emcees add to the entertainment, making it a true spectacle. It’s a must-see tradition that perfectly captures the spirit of spring skiing.
- Dates: April 10–12, 2026
- Details: The Rahlves’ Banzai Tour delivers adrenaline-fueled action as competitors race head-to-head down big mountain terrain on KT-22. Created by ski legend Daron Rahlves, the event combines elements of freeride and ski cross for a fast-paced, spectator-friendly format. Athletes compete in four-person heats, navigating natural features in a race to the finish. It’s one of the most exciting and dynamic events of the spring season.

- Date: April 18, 2026 (2:00 PM – 7:00 PM)
- Details: A Little Dose of WonderGrass brings the spirit of WinterWonderGrass back to the mountains with a free afternoon of live bluegrass music. Featuring Pickin’ On The Dead and Broken Compass Bluegrass, the event creates a high-energy, community-focused après scene. Guests can gather on the KT Deck to enjoy music, sunshine, and mountain views. It’s a celebration of the connection between music, mountains, and community.
Tahoe Truckee Earth Day Festival
- Date: April 25 (11:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
- Details: The Tahoe Truckee Earth Day Festival is the largest Earth Day celebration in the region, bringing together local organizations, businesses, and community members. The event features hands-on educational activities, live entertainment, and opportunities to learn about sustainability and environmental stewardship. Families can explore booths, participate in activities, and connect with local nonprofits. It’s a meaningful way to celebrate and support the environment.
- Dates: May 23–24, 2026
- Details: Made in Tahoe is a vibrant celebration of local culture, showcasing artisans, businesses, food, and entertainment from the Tahoe and Truckee region. Visitors can explore a wide range of locally inspired products and connect with the community behind them. The event also features live music and food offerings that highlight the region’s unique character. It’s the perfect way to close out the spring season and celebrate all things Tahoe.

Discounted Lift Tickets and Deals
Community Days Extended Through April 8
Discounted lift tickets are available on select Wednesdays, including March 18, March 25, April 1, and April 8. A portion of proceeds supports Achieve Tahoe, helping expand access to outdoor recreation for individuals with disabilities.
To celebrate Tahoe’s signature spring conditions, Palisades Tahoe is launching the fully transferable Spring Ticket Trio, a flexible lift ticket pack designed for the most fun-filled time of the season, which includes three lift tickets valid for any three days this season at $152 per day ($456 total). Guests can use the tickets however they choose—ski three separate days, share them with friends, or rally two buddies for one unforgettable spring day on the mountain.
The 2026-27 Ikon Pass is now on sale. New pass holders can enjoy unlimited spring skiing starting March 23 at Palisades Tahoe and select destinations, while locking in the lowest price of the season.
