Who says a beach needs to have sand? Whoever said that obviously had not heard about Snow Beach presented by 10 Barrel Brewing. On March 23rd, Copper Mountain will host Snow Beach, a super fun event in conjunction with 10 Barrel Brewing. The event includes giant cornhole, giant croquet, giant Jenga, and tunes by Moon Taxi. On April 13th, 10 Barrel will be taking over Copper Mountain again for another Snow Beach event. This time with jams by Max Frost. All in all, Snow Beach will be a fantastic event that includes games, an area to hang out, drink tasty craft beer, and listen to free live music!

Looking for a memorable way to enjoy Copper Mountain after dark? On March 23rd, Copper will be hosting their Moonlight Dine & Ski event. Start the night off on the brand new American Eagle gondola lift and at the top, you will gaze at incredible night panoramas of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Once you get off the gondola, you will be greeted with an hour of skiing and riding off of the Excelerator lift. When it’s time to warm up, head into Solitude Station at mid-mountain and be greeted with champagne, a gourmet spread and soulful acoustics from Beau Thomas.

Once you are finished with your meal, grab a headlamp (if you want) and enjoy one last run down to Center Village under the vast Colorado sky. Price for the event is $125 for adults and $90 for youths if you are a passholder you receive a 10% discount. This event is incredibly unique and will leave you in awe of powerful vistas under the night sky.

Ready to close’er down? NEVER! Copper Mountain throws one of the best closing weekend events with Sunsation, which will make you wish it was all never coming to an end. On April 20th and 21st, Copper will be unwinding for the season in the best way possible; tons of fun and activities. Pond skim? Yes, please! Red Bull Slopesoakers will be on Saturday, April 20th and the event combines a Slopestyle Rail Jam and a pond skim. That’s right… Backflip off a rail into Pond Skim. Check out the video below of how the professional park crew builds the venue!

Another fantastic event is the High Fives Foundation Shred-a-Thon. This is a fundraiser event which seeks to help injured mountain sports athletes; a truly incredible cause… All with lift tickets are welcome to participate. Participants are strongly encouraged to wear their oldest throwback gear. I’m talking onesies, directional snowboards, straight skis (preferably over 200cm), poles that go over your shoulders, and rear entry boots. It is recommended that participants reach out to their own friend/family networks for pledges based on vertical skied, laps taken, or old school tricks thrown. Fundraising is strongly recommended but not required.

Bottom line, if you are NOT skiing at Copper Mountain this spring you are missing out on the best things spring skiing has to offer!
