  1. As a life long skier at the amazing Squaw Valley USA, I was horrified to learn this week via an email from the holding company that they will be renaming the historic ski hill. So lame. This goes along with a plan to build a water park – yes, you read that right – a water park in pristine Lake Tahoe to draw in more crowds to our already narrowly serving infrastructure and fragile environment.
I won’t be renewing my season pass ever again with the hill formerly known as Squaw Valley and now being sold out by developers. Shame shame shame.
