Squaw Conditions Update + Video | Slip Sliddin’ on Sloppy Spring Slush

After a brief refresh on Thursday followed by high temps (and I’m talking 55 degree highs high), the skiing is still surprisingly good.  From north facing shots to be found off of Headwall to some corn farming off of Granite Chief, all centered around the Alpine Nationals on Exi, there were good times to be had at squaw.

The Hot:

  • North facing skiing – From North Bowl to Corkscrew the snow was buttery and fun
  • CII Bowl – Surprisingly still soft, smooth, and harboring some decent landing zones
  • Granite Chief Peak – Straight lines galore and some steep skiing practice
  • Alpine Nationals – Tahoe crushed it over the past week!

The Not:

  • South facing skiing – Things are burnt out, with Sun Bowl’s barely even holding snow
  • The jacuzzi opening – Can you say sausage fest?

Hang tight folks, there’s snow in the forecast for the upcoming week, and with a few inches each day for the next few days, the skiing should be getting just the refresh we need!
