Red Dog closed for the season today.  KT-22 and Headwall will most likely follow suit next monday.

The entire lower mountain will likely be closed next week and there is a good chance Squaw will completely close on April 22nd.

Large dirt patches are all over the Mountain Run and it’s getting less and less realistic to keep things open.  This rain today is only facilitating the melting.  The mountain is ready to shed its winter coat and be free.  Summer comes early again this year.

It’s been a rough season snow wise.  We just had the driest January – March in over 100 years.

But, there’s always a bright spot or two:  We had spring skiing for 3 months, we all have killer goggle tans, you might actually know what other skiers look like naked, and there is no way we can have 3 bad winters in a row…right?
