KT-22’s last day of the season was yesterday. The Mother Ship closed on Mother’s Day. Headwall is also done for the season.
Today, the entire lower mountain was closed minus the Mountain Run and it doesn’t have long to live…
Squaw generally closes the lower mountain on May 1stish. This year, Squaw had the lower mountain open an extra week. Thanks, Squaw.
Today we had Siberia, Big Blue, Gold Coast, Shirley, and Granite. Granite skied well today, especially on north facing slopes.
It didn’t freeze last night, so things were funky and sticky right away and close to intolerable by noon.
The forecast isn’t calling for freezing temps at the base of Squaw all week, so make sure to get out early. NOAA is calling for temps in the 70s at Squaw on Thursday and Friday.
It appears the The Chimney is done for the season – unless we get a big dump.
