Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows, CA has finally emerged from this monster storm, during which the final hours of the storm pushed them beyond 500” of total season snowfall (currently 507”).

That means they are ahead of the total on this date in 2017 (496”), the second snowiest year in the history of Squaw Valley.

This month has been the snowiest February ever, with a total of 246 inches (20.5 ft) of snow so far in, besting the previous February snowfall record by 50 inches. Unsurprisingly, conditions and skiing are off the charts right now. All time!

And they are only 3 feet away from surpassing their snowiest month on record (January 2017 with 282 inches). With another week and a half remaining in the month and more snow in the forecast, could this record fall?

This record-breaking snowfall makes us optimistic that there will be a long season of skiing and riding at the Spring Skiing Capital.
