Start Haus Announces Annual Labor Day Weekend Ski Consignment Sale in Truckee, CA

Truckee, Calif. (Aug 4, 2022) – The annual Start Haus Ski Consignment Sale is set to take place over Labor Day Weekend, Sept 2 to Sept 5, 2022. Each year the local ski shop takes in over 1,000 pairs of used skis from customers which they in turn resell during the event. The gear ranges from recreational skis to race skis and speed suits. Those looking to sell their used gear can start dropping off their skis on Saturday, August 6 at the Start Haus.

“This is our biggest event of the year,” said Jared Licht, Manager of Start Haus. “Each year people come from Sacramento, San Francisco and Reno to sell and buy gear during our sale. Customers will start lining up as early as 6am on Friday morning to buy so if you are looking for something specific, we recommend getting here early.”

The Start Haus Ski Consignment Sale will run on Labor Day Weekend from Friday, Sept 2 to Monday, Sept 5 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. There will be 100s of pairs of used skis on sale – and it is some great high-quality gear – including, backcountry skis, powder skis, all-mountain skis, race skis, carving skis and speed suits. Consignment goers can peruse a wide range of ski gear, outfit the entire family for the winter and get great deals all weekend long.

Start Haus will begin accepting used gear on Saturday, Aug 6. Accepted consignment gear includes alpine skis (flat or mounted), race skis (flat or mounted) and speed suits. All customers who sell their gear during the consignment sale receive 70% back in the form of in-store credit or 60% back as cash (check).
