Sugar Bowl Powder Video Report + Photo Tour: 26″ of New Snow

The recent precipitation in Tahoe made for some fantastic skiing at Sugar Bowl yesterday, with blower snow to be found from the top of the mountain all the way to the bottom.  Over a foot of new snow fell overnight making the turns off Disney, Lincoln, and Crows Peak most enjoyable.  Unfortunately with all the snow the Banzai stop was cancelled for the day, but all things considered having to cancel because of too much snow is a good problem to have.

The mountain stayed smooth through the end of the day, and once Lincoln chair opened just after noon there was hardly a lift line to be found.  With more snow overnight, today promises to be another ripping day at Sugar Bowl!

As of closing yesterday, Sugar Bowl had gotten 23-33″ of new snow and they’ve seen 247-415″ of snowfall this season.  They have a 155″ snowpack.
