Its official: Sunshine Village Ski and Snowboard Resort will open this Saturday, November 14th. Thanks to Ullr, Sunshine Village will be able to open up on Saturday due to the recent snowfall. The ski and snowboard area doesn’t make any snow, so Ullr had to pull its weight in order to open up this awesome ski area. They attribute the mid-November opening to large snowfalls in the recent days. Also, Sunshine Village uses snow farming techniquesย to capitalize on the snowfall that they do receive.
Sunshine Village will open with a base of 46cm (1ft 6in) andย plenty of all-natural snow. They have yet to announce what will be open, but we know that there will be discounted lift tickets. The ski area will offer a full ski school, Tiny Tiger and Kids Kampus programs Saturday, along with limited rentals, dining, and retail venues.
