Swell Saturdays: US Open of Surfing Highlight Video | Skate Ramp Airs @ Huntington Beach, CA

To be brutally honest, the US Open of Surfing is often kind of a lowlight.  There usually isn’t much swell and you find the best surfers in the world surfing very average everyday summer SoCal conditions.  This year, the conditions were still ‘everyday’, but there was swell.  Many set waves were head high and had the classic skate ramp form that Huntington Beach is famous for.

That skate ramp form is what allowed the boys to get up and out of the waves and pull some beautiful 360 and 180 maneuvers.  The size on Day 7 also gave the boys, girls, and longboarders the speed to rip and slash and make Huntington look good.
