All Tahoe Ski Resorts Will CLOSE This Weekend:

This is your last chance to get up and ski in Lake Tahoe this winter. Kirkwood, Squaw, Mt. Rose, and Heavenly are the only ski resorts still open in Tahoe and they’ll all be closing this Sunday, April 19th. Despite being a low snow year, Tahoe hung very tough. Ski Resorts opened in November and stayed open until mid-April. Not bad. This year may very well be the worst snow year on record in Lake Tahoe. Our snowpack is somewhere around 3% of average right now, but the skiing up high has still been great. Just last week the boys were […]

2 Ski Resorts OPEN This Weekend in North America

Only the 2 summer specialists are still chuggin’ along in North America:  Timberline & Whistler.  But the X factor did resurface this week as Nate Fillnow proved that there is still good skiing from the Snowbird Tram this week.  He skied Main Chute at Snowbird on June 24th and it still goes.  The Snowbird & Jackson Hole trams are open […]

4 Ski Resorts OPEN This Weekend in North America | Photo Tour

Ski Resorts STILL OPEN in North America | Over One Month of Skiing Left

The list is shrinking each week.  Soon, it’s just going to be the big dogs who are willing to stay open  into June.  But, there’s still over one month of skiing left.  And then there’s always Timberline in Oregon, that doesn’t close until September… We know we’ve likely missed a few in here.  We mostly went for the bigger […]

This weekend is the final weekend for Squaw Valley’s ski lift operations.  Nope, we aren’t gonna be saved and re-opened by monstrous end-of-the-season storms like Utah & Colorado.  We’ve got highs in the 60s and nothing but sun and melting snow on tap for this weekend.  Don’t forget that the pool and hot tub are only open on Saturday. It’s […]
