2014/15 Colorado Ski Resort Opening Dates: Colorado always has the earliest ski resort openings in the USA. This year will not be an exception. It’ll be either Loveland or Arapahoe Basin within the next week or two. Central Colorado just got 10″ of new snow up high and temperatures have been cool enough for snow making for the past week or so. Colorado ski resorts regularly reach over 12,000-feet and this high elevation and the cold that comes with it is key in creating early season skiing and sometimes great early season skiing.
