Colorado Skier Visits Down 13% on Last Year Due to Dry Start to Season

Early season visits to Colorado ski resorts are down between 11 and 13 percent compared with last year because of low snow conditions, resorts reported. Skier Visits Down 23% at the 3 Vail Ski Resorts in Tahoe: Kirkwood, Northstar, Heavenly

“Unfortunately, conditions in Tahoe have been very poor with snowfall down approximately 85 percent relative to prior year, resulting in visitation and guest spending well below our expectations, which negatively impacted our overall revenue growth,” Vail CEO Rob Katz said in a statement.
