Miles Clark’s 2014 Japan Highlight Video: This winter was a good winter in Japan because it didn’t snow. Don’t get me wrong, it’s Japan, so it snowed a ton, but it didn’t snow as much as normal and there were more of sunny days than normal. Sunny days led to stability in the snowpack and the ability to get up high and onto some terrain we’d never skied before. The terrain was unreal and times we had were spectacular. Japan is the land of endless deep powder storm skiing in the trees, and that’s great. But, when the weather allows you to get up high on some real terrain, well, that’s even greater.
