NOAA: Record Heat for Utah So Far This Winter & More Coming Utah has had a bit rough winter thus far in Utah. The numbers above are all for Salt Lake City, not for the high mountains. Alta is reporting 193″ of total snowfall this winter, which is good. It has been warm this year, though, even in the mountains and there is more on the way. California Statewide Snowpack Currently at 19% of Average Yes, we know that California is having a dry year. But, it is interesting to hear just how dry we are.
