Up to 12″ of Snow for Mammoth, CA Today & Tomorrow

Mammoth ski resort is open and expecting 4-12 inches of snow today and tomorrow. Mammoth plans on closing on Sunday… unless they get enough snow out of this storm to stay open another week. NOAA has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for today and tomorrow with up to a foot of new snow forecast for the Pacific Crest. Mammoth just might close the season on a couple of powder days. The SnowBrains crew just got to Mammoth last night and we’ll be reporting from the hill the next few days to keep you posted on this potential snowfall.

NOAA: Gulf of Alaska Storm for California This Week |6″ of Snow Possible for Tahoe

NOAA is tracking a possible large storm coming out of the Gulf of Alaska and headed straight for California’s Sierra Nevada Mountains. They are forecasting 6,000′ snow levels.
