Come Ski Antarctica With Us In November 2016:

Last November, I was fortunate enough to guide 4 fun skiers in Antarctica for a week with Ice Axe Expeditions aboard the 331-foot Sea Adventurer. It was by far the coolest trip I’ve ever been on anywhere. Not just the coolest ski trip I’ve been on, but the coolest trip I’ve been on anywhere. Antarctica is the only place I’ve been that is 100% natural. There’s not many places like that left on Earth. Essentially no evidence of humans anywhere and we get to charge around and ski on it. It was the trip of a lifetime and I can’t wait to go back with you and yours. If you’re interested in learning more about this Antarctica ski trip, please contact me […]

Within 5 minutes of being on land, a monstrous (about the size of 3 houses) iceberg began to moan, crack, and then flip over less than 100 yards away from where we stood. Within 6 minutes of being in Antarctica, I found myself running uphill, away from the ocean to avoid a potentially huge wave that the flipping iceberg threatened to send our way. Welcome to Antarctica rookie… 93 skiing clients and 24 mountain guides set sail in the 331-foot Sea Adventurer from Ushuaia, Argentina (furthest south city on Earth) for the Antarctic Peninsula […]

We’re Off To Ski Antarctica Today:

We’re loading up on the 330-foot Sea Adventurer in Ushuaia, Argentina (the furthest south city on Earth) this afternoon. We’re heading to Antarctica. It’ll take two days in the boat to cross the infamous Drake Passage and arrive at the Antarctic Peninsula. Once there, we’ll be climbing and skiing for 6 days before returning home. We’ve skied the past 5 days here in Ushuaia and I’ve been blown away. Easy access and great terrain make the backcountry here shine. This will be the trip of a lifetime and my 4 clients are […]
