Sun, Bootpacks, and Bears | Jake’s Peak Tour 3/13/14

After convincing my friend Reza to ditch his plans for a southerly approach to Jake’s peak – accessed from Emerald Bay and most likely requiring the use of ice-axes and crampons – we settled for the main route. The main route to Jake’s peak can be accessed from Highway 89 just south of the headquarters for D. L. Bliss State Park. Mickael Bimboes Sends Rocky Cliff HUGE in Chamonix

French rider Mickael Bimboes sending it deep during the Chamonix stop. Talk about butterfly inducing, holy sh*t drops, that shark pit at the bottom is looking VERY mean. If it werent for the slight backslap early in his run, he probably would have taken home the win for this stop. Instead, his run was only good enough for 3rd.
