Join Tahoe Backcountry Alliance on Wednesday, December 21st, 2022, to kick off the winter season for the Backcountry Film Festival, a collage of human-powered stories and backcountry-inspired experiences.

Backcountry Film Festival, presented by Winter Wildlands Alliance, ignites wild conversations and inspires action in communities that celebrate the present while looking towards the future. You can expect cinematic stories of outdoor stewardship, grassroots policy and advocacy work, backcountry adventure, and snow cinema by human-powered advocates, athletes, brands, activists, adventures, and outdoor enthusiasts.

Films, drinks, and raffle prizes galore! Raffle tickets will be 1 for $10 and 3 for $25. All funds raised will support Tahoe Backcountry Alliance.

6:00 pm doors open, 6:30 pm screenings start, and the event ends at 9:00 pm.

Tickets are limited to 150 people. This is an indoor event that will likely sell out. If it sells out, no tickets will be available at the door.

A VIP ticket includes reserved seating up front, three raffle tickets, and TBA swag.

  1. Anyone interested in using snowmobiles to access backcountry skiing? If so don’t support Tahoe Backcountry Alliance.

    TBA is one of the main groups lobbying and actively working to close permanently back country terrain to sled accessed skiing. There’s 9million acres closed in the Sierra’s. TBA is trying to close another 1million acres.
