Report from December 19, 2021

Sunrise in the Sierra is a special experience.

We went out into a zone we love and walked all around harvesting 3,600-vertical-feet in the process.

The snow was good.

It shouldn’t have been because it got warm yesterday – but it was…

We managed to keep our skis on north and northeast aspects and it was all good and some of it was great.

The wind on the ridgelines was howling from the west but it was pretty warm out so it didn’t hurt and was kind of pleasant.

We had a great crew out there today who I hadn’t seen in a while and the banter was precious.

I laughed a lot today.

Lake Tahoe is such a gorgeous place to ski when we have snow.

What’s really crazy is that all this snow came in just one storm.

The forecast right now is for up to 100″ of snow this week.

Life is good in the Sierra right now 🙂
