Yesterday/last night’s storm left 0 inches at Squaw and only 2 inches at Kirkwood.  It was all rain.

{don’t forget, KT-22 and the lower mountain will likely close for the season after Sunday}

This weekend we might be seeing a similar pattern to yesterday and what we’ve see most of the week in Tahoe:  warm temps, scattered snow/rain showers, soft snow, and pretty fun skiing.

TAHOE WEEKEND FORECAST:

Saturday = sun and clouds, highs in the upper 40s, scattered showers, snow level will be high

Saturday Night = scattered showers, lows in the high 20s, 7,000 foot snow levels

Sunday = scattered showers, snow level around 7,000 feet, highs in the mid-40s

Sunday Night = “The Euro [forecast model] is still showing 3-6 inches of snow Sunday night into Monday.” – opensnow.org, snow levels down to lake level, lows around 30

The overall conditions are actually pretty good for spring skiing.  The snow is soft, the sun is out, mostly, the groomers are good in the morning, the off-piste is good by 11am, and you can start drinking at 1pm.  Get out there and grab a few turns.  This is likely your last chance to ski KT-22 this year.
