Taos Air launched last season, offering daily direct flights from Dallas and Austin from December through March, to an airstrip 30 minutes from the chairlifts at Taos Ski Valley, NM.

This week they will launch a new service to Southern California, announced in November 2019,  kicking off Thursday 9th January. The new service to and from Carlsbad-San Diego or Hawthorne-Los Angeles and Taos adds to the roster of current flights to and from Austin–Bergstrom International or Dallas Love Field airports and Taos.

The California service will be available Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays or holiday Mondays through March 29, with fares starting at $125 one way.

The service solves a problem for world-class ski resort Taos Ski Valley, NM in the Sangre de Cristos, which is three hours from the nearest major airport in Albuquerque. Taos Ski Valley is in the middle of a 10-year, $300-million renovation that includes a new main chairlift (Taos’s first high-speed quad), much-improved snowmaking, a new luxury hotel, a “gondolita,” an upgraded children’s center, and makeovers at two restaurants, new mountain biking trails, a Via Ferrata and new condos.
