Taos Ski Valley is one week away from Opening Day, with fresh snowfall, cold temperatures and around-the-clock snowmaking setting the stage for the start of the 2025-26 winter season. The resort said in a press release that lifts are scheduled to begin spinning next Thursday, November 27, as the mountain enters its 70th anniversary season. Snow earlier in the week, combined with flakes falling again, has boosted early-season conditions and excitement among local skiers and visiting guests.t
To mark the milestone, Taos Ski Valley is offering $70 lift tickets through December 17, a promotional rate the resort says is its best price of the year. The deal comes as the resort encourages guests to secure tickets in advance and gather friends and family for the season kickoff.
Steps from Lift 1, The Blake—billed as America’s top-rated ski hotel—will open for the season alongside the mountain, blending alpine-inspired design with direct slopeside access. Taos said plans remain on track for next week’s launch as snowmaking continues across the mountain and temperatures remain favorable for building early-season coverage.
