Tesla China has also installed Supercharger lines along two routes, both around 1,400-miles, of the Sichuan-Tibet Highway. The Sichuan-Tibet Highway is the longest high-altitude road in China.

Tesla China has noticeably increased the growth of the Supercharger Network in the last six months. In January, the 700th Supercharger Station was installed at the Badaling Ski Resort in Beijing.

Sales of the electric vehicle in China hit a record high in March 2021. The 34,635 registrations were double the previous month, and triple the same month last year.

“China in the long term will be our biggest market, both where we make the most number of vehicles and where we have the most number of customers.”

– Elon Musk

There are two base camps on Mount Everest, on opposite sides of the mountains: South Base Camp is in Nepal at an altitude of 5,364 metres (17,598 ft), while North Base Camp is in Tibet, China at 5,150 metres (16,900 ft).
