The Chimney at Squaw Valley holds arguably the most famous group of lines in Squaw Valley and therefore the Universe.

Today, the Chimney Sweep opened for the first time this season and this is a very good sign.  The Chimney hasn’t opened this early since 2011.

As the Chimney fills in more and more, we’ll be treated to more and more shows of bravado and horrific crashes – just the way we like it.

We aren’t sure how many ended up skiing the Sweep today, but we have photographic evidence that shows at least 4 hit it today.

Thanks patrol!
