The East has had one of its best seasons in years, with brutally cold temperatures at the start that never rose above freezing for weeks. That time allowed a region renowned for its snowmaking capabilities to build a base that would last well into spring. Heading into April, some resorts in the East have closed; however, several have not yet announced their anticipated closing dates. One resort remains open in Pennsylvania, Camelback Mountain Resort, which announced that it would have the longest season in PA in January.
While the West has seen one of its worst seasons in decades, the East is still going. Many of the ski resorts still have not announced when they plan to close for the season, with some still forecasted to get snow next week. When will the East’s ski season end? Well, that’s still to be determined. Here’s a list of ski resorts that are still open and shredding the spring slopes in the East.
