These mostly groomed beginner or intermediate cruisers are known purely for their significant length, testing the endurance of most skiers and riders. Traversing across multiple mountain areas and showcasing scenic vistas, these trails highlight some of the best skiing on the continent.Â
#10 Mountain Run at Palisades Tahoe, CA (3.2 Miles)Â
Palisades Tahoe offers some of the most physically demanding skiing and riding in the country. The resort also boasts the second longest run in California and the 10th longest in North America. Mountain Run clocks in at 3.2 miles long, starting at the top of Wa She Shu chair and ending at the bottom of the KT-22 lift, adjacent to the Base to Base gondola. This over 3 mile long intermediate trail travels across many mountain areas showcasing what Palisades Tahoe has to offer.Â

#8 Home Run at Park City Mountain, UT (3.5 Miles)Â
Home Run, previously Utah’s longest trail, has since been overtaken by Deer Valley’s Green Monster. Stretching an impressive 3.5 miles, it remains one of North America’s longest trails. The run starts at the top of Pioneer and Thaynes lifts and ends at the Park City Mountain Village Base. This long green run is a definite must-do for beginner skiers and riders at Park City Mountain, which is back as the largest ski resort in the U.S. after Powder Mountain went semi-private. Home Run is just one of the 341 trails offered between the two sides of this enormous interconnected mountain resort.Â

#8 Schoolmarm at Keystone Ski Resort, CO (3.5 Miles)Â
Tied with Park City’s Home Run, Schoolmarm was the first run to open in North America for the 2025-26 season. Clocking in at 3.5 miles long, Schoolmarm is a popular long green trail offering wide vistas of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains. It runs from the summit of Dercum Mountain down to the base area. Along with those killer views are often large crowds enjoying the expansive run down the mountain.Â

#7 Riva Ridge at Vail Mountain, CO (4 Miles)Â
Riva Ridge, logging at 4 miles, is one of the few longest runs to have significant steep pitches, scaring many newbies in the aptly named area called Tourist Trap. The run traverses down the center of the front side of Vail Mountain, letting skiers off at either Vail Village or Golden Peak base areas. Riva Ridge is a long leg-burner, offering one of the longest runs in North America with a continuous steep pitch.Â

#6 Galloping Goose at Telluride Ski Resort, CO (4.6 Miles)Â
In southern Colorado, Telluride’s Galloping Goose is a long green run that winds its way from the top of the Prospect Express lift all the way down to the Meadows Base area. This mellow green run is not typical for Telluride, which is known for its expert level terrain, offering some of the most gnarly lines in Colorado.Â

#5 Green Monster at Deer Valley Resort, UT (4.85 Miles)Â Â
The newest run on the list opened just last season at Deer Valley Resort. Green Monster recently eclipsed Home Run at Park City Mountain for the longest run in Utah. This green run travels a staggering 4.85 miles beginning at the top of Deer Valley’s new Park Peak and ending at the newly established East Village. With a 3,000 foot vertical drop, this long green run is truly a monster.Â

#4 Five Mile at Sun Peaks, BC (5 Miles)Â
The title of this run represents what it is, a five mile long green ski run that flows around the mountain starting at the top of West Bowl Express and ending at the bottom of Sunburst Express at the base of the mountain. With 4,400 acres, Sun Peaks is Canada’s second largest ski resort.

#3 Olympic Downhill at Heavenly Ski Resort, CA/NV (5.5 Miles)Â
Coming in at 5.5 miles and dropping almost 2,000 vertical feet, Olympic Downhill at Heavenly is our third longest run in North America and the longest ski run in the United States. Beginning at the top of Olympic Express and ending at the bottom of Stagecoach Express, this long, wide blue intermediate run offers amazing scenic views.Â

#2 Peak to Creek at Whistler Blackcomb (7 Miles)Â
Peak to Creek is not only 7 miles long, but it connects the peak of Whistler Mountain to the Creekside Base area. Located on the Whistler Mountain side of the largest ski resort in North America, Peak to Creek is a purely blue run ferrying skiers and riders through above-treeline high alpine terrain past the Whistler Bowl and West Bowl. It then extends below the treeline to the base of the mountain, bringing skiers down a staggering 5,020 foot vertical drop.  Â

#1 The Last Spike at Revelstoke Mountain Resort (9.4 Miles)Â
North America’s longest ski trail is The Last Spike at Revelstoke Mountain Resort. It is a 9.4 mile-long beginner trail running from the top of the Stoke chair all the way down to the base area at the bottom terminal of the Revelation gondola. This cat track zigzags back and forth across the mountain multiple times dropping around 5,600 feet over the 9.4 mile trek.
Ranging from 3.5 all the way up to 9.4 miles, these runs are no joke. Even experts can enjoy these mostly beginner and intermediate runs. To ski these, stamina is key. Skiers and riders can seek out these signature runs for a truly unique alpine experience, highlighting amazing scenic vistas and showcasing different mountain areas.

Long Shot at Aspen Snowmass is 5.3 miles.
Try doing more research. Killington Mountain in Vermont has a 6 mile run from the summit to the lower base via the Backbehind Trail.
About 40+ years ago, Killington had a trail they called the 10 mile trail, as I recall at the top of the gondola at the time to its base. Heavenly has a very long route from the top of sky chair to California base, but it is called several names.
