The last month of skiing and riding in the West has been awesome. Utah has gained over 100 inches since mid-February along with many other resorts throughout the Pacific Northwest and West. Alaska is no longer #1 in terms of snowfall. Meanwhile, Denver just saw the 4th biggest storm since 1885, and lots of Colorado ski areas have gotten ridiculous amounts of snowfall. Here are the top 15 resorts with the most snow in North America this season.

  1. Waiting for your final list of the season Snow Brains.
One last try to get this list correct… You can do it! I believe in you!!! (although past experience says that is a slim-to-none chance of happening)

  2. Hard to believe Jackson got more snow than Targhee. They must have found a good spot to measure where it drifts in. They also get much less at the base, which they never report. Snow density plays a big part in overall depth, as wet snow does not settle as much as dry, hence Rocky mtn areas like Jackson close the first week of April while ski areas like Mammoth, which may report less snowfall go through May and beyond.

  3. Alpental 544″ (top) / 410″ (mid)
    Powder King 509″
    Sasquatch 469″
    Timberline 400″
    Cypress 392″

  4. Where is Alpental on this list? ohhhh wait you should definetly go to crystal and stevens cause they obviously have more snow hahahaha

  5. “Total snowfall” doesn’t tell you when the resort started counting for the season or how much has melted or settled. Current “Base Depth” would be a more meaningful and more useful stat.

  6. Why is Alta on the list if they didnt make the list? It’s literally the driest start every recorded in the Wasatch. Its unbelievably bad.

  7. Alyeska 260″
    Kicking Horse 129″
    Seymour 103″
    Castle 102″
    Grouse 96″
    Lake Louise 92″
    Cypress 89″
    Valinouet 83″

Powder King: no official total yet, but by far the most snowfall in Canada so far this season (est 200-220″)

    1. No official total for Powder King yet, but the summit base is 67″ and the BC Hydro Pine Pass snow pillow station (located next to ski area and historically correlates well to the ski area) shows 189″ SWE which is above the historical range.
The snowfall total is likely in the 170-190″ range.

  8. Revelstoke 116″
Handfull of other BC hills in the 80-100″ range (Seymour, grouse, sasquatch, shames, etc)
Powder King likely about 120″ but unconfirmed so far.
