According to Curbed Ski, there’s a variety of season passes out there, but there is one list that will guide you to buying the season pass that best suites you. Thanks to El Niño, the ski season isn’t over in a large portion of the United States, but that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t start preparing for next season. The spring is the best time to score a great deal on the pass of your dreams for next season. There are various reasons for choosing a specific season pass and for that exact reason, we have provided information about the most popular season passes that are being offered for 2016-2017.

The Mega Passes:

Epic Pass

Skiing Vail! PC: Vail

What’s New:

  • Australia’s Perisher was added to the pass, which will allow season pass holders to have unlimited access to the ski resort during the 2017 summer. Skiers and riders in the Midwest will benefit from Wisconsin’s Wilmot Mountain also joining the pass. Also, Vail is spending $13 million to upgrade the resort near Chicago, which has caused the price of the pass to rise $10.

Price:

  • $809 for adults
  • $419 for children

Resorts Included:

  • Unlimited access with no blackout dates to Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, Park City, Heavenly, Northstar, Kirkwood, Wilmot, Afton Alps, Mt. Brighton, Perisher (2017), and Arapahoe Basin.

Other Perks:

  • The Epic Pass provides holders with six flat rate discount “buddy tickets” and six varying discount “ski-with-a-friend” tickets. Also, pass holders have access to the scenic lifts in the western United States throughout the summer months.

The M.A.X. Pass

Alyeska Skiing! PC: Teneo Hospitality

What’s New:

  • Alyeska, Solitude and Wachusett were added to the pass for the 2016-2017 pass, which brings the number of mountains participating in the pass up to 25. The deal still includes five days at each mountain with no blackout dates. It’s ideal for skiers and riders who don’t mind flying and want to try out a variety of terrain across North America.  Also, the price is currently $100 cheaper than it was at this time last year.

Price:

  • $599 for a standalone adult pass
  • $299 as an upgrade to a qualifying season pass

Resorts Included:

  • Five days each at Steamboat, Mt. Bachelor, Big Sky, Winter Park, Copper Mountain, Crystal Mountain, Brighton, Boreal Mountain, Cypress Mountain, Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort, The Summit at Snoqualmie, Killington, Sunday River, Stratton, Sugarloaf, Tremblant, Blue Mountain, Snowshoe, Boyne Mountain, Loon, Pico Mountain, Boyne Highlands, Alyeska, Solitude, and Wachusett.

Mountain Collective Pass

What’s New:

  • Stowe and Taos joined the pass last year, while Southern Hemisphere options were added to the pass this year. Unlike the Epic Pass, where Perisher doesn’t kick in until 2017, the Mountain Collective pass grants access to New Zealand resorts this upcoming summer, which typically operate from June through October.

Price:

  • $379 for a limited time with children 12 and under being $1 with purchase of an adult pass.

Resorts Included:

  • Two days each at Sun Valley, Alta, Snowbird, Mammoth, Jackson Hole, Ski Banff/Lake Louise/Sunshine Village, Aspen Snowmass, Whistler Blackcomb, Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows, Stowe, Taos, Thredbo, and Ski Queenstown/Coronet Peak/The Remarkables.

Other Perks:

  • Chamonix, Valle Nevado, and Hakuba Valley are the international destinations for the 2015-2016 season, where benefits are provided for the pass holder. Additional single day lift tickets at participating resorts are 50 percent off.

The Regional Passes:

Rocky Mountain Super Pass Plus

Price:

  • $569 for adults

Resorts Included:

  • Unlimited access to Winter Park, Copper Mountain, and Eldora with six days at Steamboat and three days at Crested Butte.

About The Pass:

  • The inclusion of a free kids season pass, with no blackout dates, for anyone who purchases an adult Rocky Mountain Super Pass Plus, Rocky Mountain Super Pass, Route 40 Pass, or Winter Park Resort Pass was added this year. Essentially, any pass to Winter Park will come with a free kids pass.

Tahoe Super Pass

Lake Tahoe Skiing! PC: Ski Lake Tahoe

Price:

  • $829 to $469, dependent upon the pass level.

Resorts Included:

  • Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows with limited days at Sierra-at-Tahoe and Sugar Bowl, depending on the pass level.

About The Pass:

  • The gold level pass, at $829, also includes 50 percent off lift tickets at Mountain Collective resorts.

Cali4nia Pass

Mammoth giving up the goods! PC: On The Snow

Price:

  • $949 to $799, dependent upon the pass level.

Resorts Included:

  • Mammoth, June Mountain, Bear Mountain, and Snow Summit.

About The Pass:

  • The basic pass includes unlimited skiing and riding at the four main resorts, with higher passes levels including perks like rental and retail discounts and the premium pass throws in lift ticket discounts at Mountain Collective resorts.

The New England Pass

Sunday River can be really deep! PC: On The Snow

Price:

  • $1,049 to $415

Resorts Included:

  • Sunday River, Sugarloaf, and Loon Mountain.

About The Pass:

  • The most expensive level includes unlimited skiing or riding without blackout days, while the lower level options include blackout days or exclude weekends.

Peak Pass

Mount Snow powder! PC: Ski Vermont

Price:

  • $599 to $299

Resorts Included:

  • Attitash, Big Boulder, Crotched, Hunter, Jack Front, Mount Snow, and Wildcat.

About The Pass:

  • A new pass for New England resorts, the highest level includes unlimited skiing and riding with no blackout days to all seven of these popular resorts. They also offer a less expensive pass option for skiers or riders ages 18 to 29, along with a midweek pass that includes blackout dates.
