The Uninvited Invitational, the most talked about event in women’s snowboarding, is making its highly anticipated return this April 10-13 5 at Woodward Park City in Utah. Building on the record-breaking success as the third year in action—the event features over 70 elite riders from all over the world, elevating the experience to new heights as they compete for a $60,000 prize purse and an opportunity to showcase their skills on a global stage. In a world where women’s events are often generalized as one and the same, The Uninvited stands out as a groundbreaking platform tailored to riders who are focused on the most progressive level of street-style snowboarding.
Organizers opened the submission window for The Uninvited Wildcard on February 17, inviting women, girls, and non-binary snowboarders to submit a 30–60-second Instagram reel that showcases their best tricks and personal style, whether from the streets or the park. The prize? A spot to compete at the main event: The Uninvited Invitational, happening April 10–13 in Utah, where over 70 riders will battle it out for a $60,000 prize purse and international attention.
The event was founded by snowboarding legend Jess Kimura, who launched The Uninvited in 2017 to spotlight underserved talent and challenge gender disparity in action sports. Originally an award-winning independent film series, The Uninvited has grown into a full-scale competition where women and non-binary athletes take center stage—not as a subcategory, but as the main event.
Last year’s wildcard qualifier drew over 50 entries, with seven riders, including 14-year-old breakout star Jess Perlmutter, earning spots at the Invitational and walking away with awards and cash prizes. Organizers hope to discover even more emerging talent through this year’s contest.
The main event kicks off with a welcome party in Salt Lake City on April 9 and continues with qualifiers, finals, and community events through April 13. Sunday will feature a group ride day and community fair hosted by Beyond the Boundaries Snowboarding, open to all women and non-binary riders.
