Now, this is cool. The San Francisco 49ers were way ahead of their time. A halftime show that featured skiers hitting a ramp and throwing double backflips and backflip 360s? Badass. This truly is a throwback that no one has ever heard of. Very cool Bob.
Oh, and the 49ers won the Superbowl in 1989.
Mullets, Neon, and Freestyle skiing, what more could you ask for? Excuse the quality on this as it was transferred from an old VHS I came across boxed up in the garage. Back in the 80’s and 90’s Dan Herby, Bob Vogel, Seth Goldsmith, Bob Howard, Daryl Ferges and George Hery did freestyle Ramp and Tramp shows all over the West coast of the US and Canada. Those were some Fun times for some Young Guns. This video is from the halftime performance we did at Candlestick Park when the 49er’s put the smack down on the Packers. Talk about stress rolling this scaffolding jump out onto the field and having 3 minutes to get it in position, airbag fired up and then jump for 7 minutes. We would each do about 5-6 Jumps in that time. Gotta Love 70k people cheering! – Bob Legasa-Freeride Media
