ThrowBack Thursday: SnowBrains’ 2013 Japan Highlight Video

2013 in Japan was silly.  17 powder days in a row.  A coupla days off.  Then 19 more powder days in a row.

Not bad.  Not great.  Just normal, unremarkable, stupidly deep Japan.

These islands are some sort of snow utopia that Americans haven’t even come close to tapping into yet.  Theres’ really nothing to wait for.  Come now before all these Japanese ski resorts go bankrupt.

There used to be 1,000 ski resorts in Japan.  There are still over 600 ski resorts left in Japan.  Japan is only the size of California, has only 127 million people, but has at least 114 more ski resorts than the entire USA.

Skiing in Japan in cheap, bizarre, deep, and culturally rewarding.  Go.” – Miles Clark
