The alpine skiing schedule finally got underway yesterday, following postponement for wind. After her first run, Mikaela Shiffrin sat in second place in the giant slalom but totally nailed her second run to take her first gold medal of the games. She’ll be back on the course this afternoon for the women’s slalom. Go, Mikaela!!
In the men’sย downhill, Norway took their first ever downhill gold, and also took silver.
