El Nino has been good to California this winter:

California’s current statewide snowpack is at 87% of average to date.
Some ski resorts are reporting above average annual snowfall totals this year already.
Shasta, Folsom, and Oroville reservoirs and above historical averages to date and Lake Tahoe is only 1″ below its natural rim and water experts are forecasting it to rise 16-18″ more this spring/early summer.
