And to make life amongst the slopes even more attractive, some of the most magnificent mansions in the world find themselves tucked near amazing ski resorts. Over the past 10 years, we have highlighted dozens of these skiing palaces, from Colorado to California to Canada. Here are the top 5 most wonderful and extravagant ski mansions sold over the past 10 years.

#5: $40 Million Whistler, BC, Mansion

Built in 2014 and sold for $40 million in 2023, this Whistler mansion set a record for the highest home price sale in the history of the resort. Located more specifically in the Stoneridge development, the estate was originally listed at $32 million but the adjacent lot was purchased for an additional $8 million, bringing the total to an even $40 million. This 8,700-square-foot home sits on a seven-acre lot with a terrific view of Alta Lake and Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains. It has six bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, and features a 25-meter pool, three fireplaces, a grotto spa, and a wine cellar. Rounded out by spiral staircases and spectacular windows, this is certainly deserving of a top-five spot.

#4: $20 Million Telluride, CO, Mansion

Sold in June 2024, this 17,000-square-foot mansion located in Telluride, Colorado, is one that is absolutely mind-blowing. This home has a rustic log cabin design, giving it a perfect mountain feel. It features a bowling alley, 11 fireplaces, a home cinema, and multiple wellness and spa features. It also comes with two chalets and a studio apartment. But this property’s real kicker is its location, just feet away from Telluride’s ‘Sundance’ ski run.
