Treble Cone, NZ Opens Thursday with 100% of Terrain Open

Treble Cone ski resort in New Zealand will open for the season this Thursday with 100% of their terrain open to the public.  

“In BIG news… Treble Cone Ski Area is looking likely to have all terrain open for Opening Day this Thursday including the Home and Saddle Basins, the Summit Slopes, and the expert only Motatapu Chutes and Hollywood Bowl (weather permitting).” – Treble Cone

Treble Cone has a deep enough snowpack to open all of their terrain after a huge storm came through last week and dumped over a meter 40″ of snow.  They already have a snow depth of 160cms (64″) at 1960m (6,430ft) in Saddle Basin and 116cms (50″) at 1750m (5,740ft) in Home Basin.  

Treble Cone opens this Thursday, June 25th, and it promises to be a great opener.
