According to Frank Carus, lead forecasters at the Mt. Washington Avalanche Center NH, Tuckerman Ravine will likely be closed to all backcountry use starting Monday, March 30th, 2020

Mt. Washington Avalanche Center will stop all avalanche forecasts for the season on Monday, March 30th, 2020.
This closure is due to people not following the governor’s orders to use social distancing & stay at home on Saturday, March 28th when over 400 people showed up at Tuckerman Ravine.
The Mt. Washington Avalanche Center in New Hampshire is reporting that over 400 humans descended on Tuckerman Ravine to go backcountry skiing yesterday, March 28th, 2020.
They also reported that 50% of those humans were from out of state.
Many backcountry skiers are not following guidelines set up to protect us from spreading Coronavirus via social distancing and only recreating within your very near local area.

Tuckerman Ravine is one of the very most popular backcountry destinations on the entire East Coast.
About time. You are just encouraging the dumb to come up here bringing the virus with them and the they use the local establishments. I cant go back to my doctor because she is quarentined he thought it was ok to drive up from NYC and he was sick before he got here and then went to the walk-in.
in that One day many people could have been infected and now went home. In 14 days we shall see spikes in those locations. Everything needs to be shut down!
