Tūroa Ski Area on New Zealand’s North Island has announced the sale of a special season pass that is aimed at making snow sports more accessible. Available for just NZD 388 (USD 222) for adults and NZD 88 (USD 50) for youth (ages six to 16), the pass provides unlimited access to the North Island’s premier ski destination throughout the entire 2026 winter season.
“We know Kiwis love to get outdoors, stay active, and try new adventures, but the cost of snow sports can often be a barrier, especially in today’s economic climate. This special season pass offer is about breaking down those financial obstacles and inviting everyone to experience the thrill of Tūroa on Mount Ruapehu.”
— Jono Dean, CEO, Tūroa
The initiative reflects Tūroa’s commitment to community and inclusivity, ensuring that skiing and snowboarding remain accessible activities for all New Zealanders. “The Ohakune community’s support has been crucial to the launch of Pure Tūroa, and this is our way of giving back,” Dean adds. “We believe this is New Zealand’s most value-driven winter season pass, and we’re excited to reignite a passion for winter sports across Aotearoa.”
Whether families are discovering snow for the first time or experienced riders are seeking dynamic terrain, Tūroa Ski Area offers something for everyone on the southern slopes of Mount Ruapehu. Beyond the slopes, visitors can explore Ohakune’s vibrant après scene, including cosy accommodations, local restaurants, indoor golf and climbing facilities, and the newly expanded Mountains to Sea biking trails.
