Podmilsak’s path to his first World Cup win is no surprise. He discovered park skiing at age six and grew up surrounded by world-class skiers. He long admired Park City legend Colby Stevenson, whose influence shaped his style and drive. He claimed his first career podium in the 2022-23 season at the World Cup in Chur, Switzerland. His biggest early success came in the same season following year at the 2023 World Championships in Bakuriani, Georgia, where he landed the world’s first triple 2160 mute on his third run to win the world title. Since then, Podmilsak has been known for pushing technical boundaries with clean execution and huge amplitude.
Canadian Dylan Deschamps secured second place after stomping a switch left triple bio 16 safety and a left triple 18 mute, later playing it safe with a perfect dub 7 safety to protect his podium.
Reigning Crystal Globe winner Luca Harrington from New Zealand finished in third place with a smooth switch right triple 18 esco into a huge right triple 19 safety.
Meanwhile, Podmilsak’s teammate Mac Forehand finished in fourth with 169.50 points.
With the 2025–26 season underway and the Olympic cycle in sight, Podmilsak’s breakthrough win signals the arrival of another serious American contender for an Olympic Freeski medal.
