On October 22, U.S. Ski and Snowboard will celebrate 60 years of gold medal moments at its annual Gold Medal Gala. Held in New York City at the Ziegfeld Ballroom, this year’s gala will feature Team USA’s best ski and snowboard athletes from the 2026 Milano-Cortina Winter Olympics and Paralympics, alongside some of the team’s biggest legends dating back to the 1960s.
Currently, U.S. Ski and Snowboard lists over 24 current athletes who plan to attend the event, as well as more than 10 legends from the 1960s through the 2010s. Many of the planned attendees are medalists from the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympic and Paralympic Games, including the most decorated Winter Paralympian of all time and 24x Paralympic medalist Oksana Masters, Olympic champion Breezy Johnson, 2x Olympic silver medalist Ryan Cochran-Siegle, Olympic gold and silver medalist Alex Hall, Olympic bronze medalist Jake Canter, and many more. Some of the legends in attendance include Olympic champions Picabo Street and Barbara Ann Cochran, among others. Olympic gold medalist and moguls skiing legend Jonny Moseley will host the event.

For the attending athletes, the gala brings no shortage of entertainment for the night. Special in-room-only viewing moments, a live DJ and band, a live auction, athlete moments, and a post-toast celebration will all go down, making for an energetic night of celebrating the athletes that shaped U.S. Ski and Snowboard.
In addition to honoring the athletes, the Gold Medal Gala will act as a fundraiser to directly support U.S. Ski & Snowboard’s 12 teams and more than 240 athletes. In previous years, the Gold Medal Gala has been wildly successful. At the 59th Gold Medal Gala last year, a record-breaking $3.2 million was raised to support the teams and athletes. It was the largest single night of fundraising in the organization’s history, drawing in over 500 guests. Over the past three Gold Medal Galas, U.S. Ski and Snowboard has raised over $7.5 million dollars.
The Gold Medal Gala will also look to build upon the recent success of the “Snow Chella” fundraiser for the Stifel U.S. Ski Team, which raised $1.35 million. Similar to the Gold Medal Gala, Snow Chella featured dozens of prominent U.S. Ski and Snowboard athletes coming together for a night of celebration, energy, and fun.
