U.S. ski racer Luke Winters shared the happy news of the arrival of his son Bo on social media. Bo David Winters was born on September 23 and Winters describes him as “the best gift in his life.” Bo’s mom is Luke Winter’s long-term girlfriend-come wife Cassandra Winters (née Ingram), who have been dating since freshman-year in high school.

The 28-year-old is a successful World Cup athlete in the technical disciplines of Slalom and Giant Slalom. He debuted on the World Cup circuit in November 2018 at Levi, Finland. Since then, he has notched several top-10 finishes, including a 7th place in the Flachau Slalom in 2022 and an 8th in the Meribel Slalom that same year. He has represented the USA in several World Championships—winning Gold in the 2023 Team Parallel—and in the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China. At a national level, Winters has claimed multiple U.S. ski titles, predominately in Slalom and Alpine Combined. In the 2024-25 season however, he unexpectedly won the U.S. Super-G National Championship in Vail, Colorado, despite specializing in tech disciplines.

Several teammates were quick to respond to the news with warm congratulations. Paula Moltzan, Isabella Wright, and Tommy Ford were the first to send their best wishes to the new family.
With just a bit more than three weeks until the World Cup season opener at Sölden, Austria, the new dad will unfortunately have to pack his bags for Europe soon. Balancing training, travel, and parenting will certainly present a new challenge—but one he seems ready to embrace.
Congratulations from the SnowBrains team to the new family!
