California just went through two major “parades of storms” that dropped up to 128″ of snowfall on California ski resorts. That’s over 10-feet of snow…
Conditions have been epic, funky, rainy, windy, bluebird, and very stormy the past 10 days. Mt. Rose on the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe had to completely shut down yesterday and on March 10th due to high winds.
It was so good at Squaw for a bit that Warren Miller rolled into town.
CA snowpack jumped from 83% of average to 92% of average in the past 4 days.
“The latest automated snow pack measurements show the Northern Sierra up to 102% of normal, up from 87% on Friday, March 11th. The statewide summary has gone from 83% to 92% during that period.” – NOAA Sacramento, CA today
