A house has just sold for $57.25-million in Vail CO, making it the most expensive home ever sold in the affluent town, and almost double the price of the previous most expensive home.

Kevin Ness, a Colorado-based entrepreneur, says he bought the property as a “generational” family home. The seller was a limited company tied to Mexican investor Alejandro Rojas, who bought the property for $14.5-million in 2014.

The previous most expensive home in Vail sold for $28.7-million, back in 2017.

The $57.25-million home is a modern six-story house with 15,000 square feet, sitting on less than an acre near the center of Vail.

Split over two units, the property comprises 11 bedrooms, two pools, two hot tubs, two elevators, a movie theater, and numerous terraces overlooking Vail’s Gore Range.
