Report from April 16, 2023

On Sunday, we were supposed to receive new clients, but our clients from last week were still hungry…

The all extended their trip a week.

Sunday was cloudy then sunny, we got out there around mid-day.

I picked out an aggressive-looking run off the Deserted Glacier from the heli I’d never skied before.

After some snow checks, I dropped in.

The snow was svelt.

The sluff was fast.

I let gravity pull me through the chute, blasted through the sluff piles at the bottom, and into the fresh snow in the apron.

The big speed check in the apron felt electric.

The crew happily shredded down without incident, and we grooved down the rolling lowers to the pickup zone.

We skied two more runs in a zone called Vitos’ and headed home.

Sun in the forecast…
