After seeing a storm up north we knew we had to bite the bullet and take busses all the way from El Bolson, Argentina to Nevados de Chillan, Chile. Although the new snow didn’t quite justify the 24 hours of bus travel, we were lucky enough to see another big storm coming into the Santiago region and hopped on another few busses to catch some epic conditions in Valle Nevado.

Looking over to the top of the Los Andes lift.

The storm this week blew in a foot to a few feet of cold snow, depending on the wind. Friday was cold and cloudless. It brought a day of sunshine and dry powder.

Slashing a turn in a particularly deep and fun portion of snow.

The Tres Puntas poma lift offered a hike and a traverse that both delivered fresh lines. Although it’s hard to find steep terrain, the fresh hippy pow was good all day long!

It was another beautiful day in the Andes and one for the books!

Getting airborne on a natural hit.
