Valle Nevado ski resort in Chile opens today. This video graphically displays just what we are all missing. It kinda hurts.
This is very early for South America to be looking this good. Valle Nevado is claiming that they have already received a few feet of snow this fall and they’ve gotten the mountain in good enough shape to open ‘er up. Good on ’em!
The snow machine has stopped for now. Valle Nevado’s forecast is nothing but sun and hot for the next 10 days. But hopefully that all changes again soon.
