Chilean ski resort Valle Nevado has experienced one of its best seasons for snow in a decade—and it’s not over yet.

More snow is forecast for this weekend, and the resort will remain open through Sunday, October 2nd, for the longest season in Chile. The resort has had 121″ of snow so far this season.

It’s official! ❄️⏰❄️Valle Nevado ends its winter season on Sunday, October 2, 2022 and like every year, we are the center with the most season days and the last to close in the central area. Needless to say, you’re all invited to enjoy what’s left of the season with us and the best deals at www.valleplus.cl. 👈 👀 Snow is forecast for this weekend. #ValleTime

After two years of closures due to the pandemic, we’re glad to see Valle Nevado back with a bang.

Valle Nevado has some of the best skiing in South America. It’s a huge mountain with unspeakable amounts of skiable terrain, amazing snow quality, and it never really gets crowded there. Their heliski program offers more than 6,000 feet of vertical descent. Staying up at the resort in one of its three comfortable hotels or private condominiums is where you want to be, with a variety of restaurants and bars. Even commuting from Santiago takes only 90 minutes one-way. The mountain’s season is off to a solid start in terms of snowfall and it’s only getting better from here.

  1. Timothy Dannenhoffer- What you’re doing wrong is comparing them in the first place. Is Targhee or Alta 100% above timberline, have 7,000 acres of skiing on 6,000 vertical? Just different games.

  2. 121″ of snow in a season is good?
I can’t help but compare to Alta or Grand Targhee…500″ seasons. What am I getting wrong?
