Valle Nevado, Chile’s premier Andean ski destination, officially wrapped up its 2025 winter season yesterday, closing out another successful year marked by steady snowfall, record visitation, and continued investment in guest experience.

The resort tallied 174 inches of total snowfall this season, including a major storm that dropped five feet in the heart of peak season—perfect timing for visiting athletes and powder-hungry skiers. Consistent high-altitude snow and a strong base ensured reliable conditions from June through early October.

Ahead of this season, Valle Nevado completed a series of capital improvements, including lift upgrades, hotel and restaurant renovations, and new on-mountain dining and retail additions. These enhancements, paired with expanded family offerings—like free lift access for kids under 12—helped drive a notable increase in skier visits year-over-year.

“We’re proud of what this season represents, not just in visitation, but in the quality and hospitality we’ve been able to deliver. Our investments are focused on creating memorable, high-quality experiences for all guests, and we’re encouraged by the positive feedback we’ve received throughout the winter.”

Located just 90 minutes from Santiago, Valle Nevado continues to serve as one of South America’s most accessible and high-elevation ski resorts. With a base elevation of 9,925 feet, the mountain’s orientation and altitude help deliver some of the best snow conditions in the Southern Hemisphere.

The resort spans 2,400 acres of skiable terrain, offers three ski-in/ski-out hotels, and connects with neighboring La Parva through an interconnect ticket for a combined 7,000 acres of skiing. Valle Nevado also operates Chile’s leading heli-ski program, featuring guided descents of up to 5,000 vertical feet in untouched Andean terrain. From June to October, Valle Nevado hosts Olympic and national teams from the Northern Hemisphere for summer training, while Ikon Pass, Power Pass, and Mountain Collective holders flock south for endless winter.
