Veronica Belle Paulson became the first woman to attempt a double backflip into Corbet’s Couloir during the 6th annual King and Queens event at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, WY, yesterday.

Veronica won the event in 2020, becoming the first woman to land a backflip into Corbet’s. This year she decided to go twice as big.

  1. In the sport of diving, it would be considered a gainer. Backflips when diving are done with your back to the water, flipping and landing facing the same way you started, that is unless you ad a half twist or FULL twist to the flip. In freestyle skiing or just skiing for fun, a backflip is done while moving forward and flipping backward, landing the same way you started. She didn’t do a double backflip, she attempted one. So it shouldn’t be praised.

  2. It’s a gainer DOUBLE GAINER , not a backflip , a backflip is what we saw at the x games off the knuckle riding switch ,back down the hill. And springing from his tails rotating twice down the hill landing in same position switch . But damn girl total props
